Quincy Bog Natural Area

By the beginning of June, Quincy Bog is a much quieter place to visit. Birds are busy nesting or starting to raise their very young chicks. Tree swallows are seen darting over the water chasing insects. A few Canada geese cruise the water looking for food and protecting nests. A mother wood duck floats busily looking after her newborn ducklings a little too far out for the camera lens. What a great day to be on the trail!
