Frequently Asked Questions

  • My pet is extremely shy or nervous. Can we still create beautiful portraits of them?

Absolutely! If your pet is very shy or nervous you may want to choose an In-Home Session. That way your pet is in a familiar location and will feel more comfortable. A Signature Studio Session can still also work. We take the time for your pet to become more comfortable with the surroundings, the photography equipment, the camera, and myself. You may also want to bring a favorite toy, a favorite blanket, or something else that your pet is very familiar with.

  • My pet cannot be off leash. How do we make sure they are safe during a photo session?

During all outdoor photo sessions, I require all pets to be on leash for your pet’s safety. It is not uncommon for dogs to need a leash for indoor studio portraits as well. I edit all leashes out of your pet’s portraits to create amazing images you will be proud to display in your home.

  • Can I have my photo taken with my pet?

Yes! Your pet is part of your family. We can absolutely take photos of you and your pet!

  • Where are you located?

My Feline Feathers Photography Studio is located in the beautiful, rural town of Dorchester, NH. A visit to the studio not only gives you a fun photo session with your companion, but it also gives you an amazing scenic ride. Whether you are coming by way of Plymouth and through Rumney, or coming up Route 118 from Canaan, you are in for a beautiful trip through the forests and foothills of central New Hampshire.

  • What types of pets will you photograph?

I photograph dogs and cats. I also will photograph other small animals including, but not limited to, bunnies, ferrets, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, mice, lizards, frogs. I will also photograph small farm animals such as chickens, ducks, goats, turkeys, geese. If you have a pet you would like photographed that is not listed, ask! I may just not have thought to put it on the list.
