At Feline Feathers Photography I take the time to get the perfect portrait of your pet whether your animal family member is a dog, cat, bird, rabbit, ferret, guinea pig, rat, reptile, or even something as small as a mouse. Your animal’s comfort and safety are very important, so I make the time to have a relaxed session and go at your animal’s pace.

I am located in beautiful, rural Dorchester, NH. I am a studio photographer that specializes in cats and small animals. Don’t worry! I also love photographing dogs!

What are Feline Feathers?

Hello! I am Tina.
I am the photographer behind the lens at Feline Feathers Photography. See the little gray cat looking at you with her green eyes? She is one of my four cats. I love her very much. She is one of the lights of my life. I bet you love your pets as much as I do mine!

I got my first camera many, many years ago. It was a tiny little point and shoot camera with a 4-megapixel sensor. It took some amazing photos! I photographed everything from toads, flowers, and insects to pets and my family with that little camera. I was hooked!

Before I had a camera, Feline Feathers was born. Feline Feathers did not start out as pet photography. Instead, it was born as a crafting business. I made cat toys and other pet related items to sell at craft fairs. I also had a shop on Etsy. While building my Etsy store, I realized my little business needed a name. My sister and I brain stormed names for a long time. Then one day my cat, Boots, came out from under the bird cage. I looked down and said, “Hey, feline, your fur is full of feathers!”

That is how Feline Feathers got its name.

This little tiger cat is Boots. Boots is now 17 years old! He was only a couple of months old when he came to live with us and he smelled like a little puppy! For a very long lime we called him our puppy kitten.

We moved into our house in Dorchester, NH, in 2012. Then our son was born in 2013. My love of photography blossomed. I loved taking photos of the beautiful nature around me and of my little boy.

My husband gifted me with my first DSLR camera when our son was a couple of years old. That’s when my passion for photography really took off. I found myself taking photos of all the little things in life. I photographed my son, my pets, nature and macro subjects, flowers, and what little wildlife that wandered into our backyard. Then, covid hit.

In 2020 and 2021, I dedicated myself to not only learning more about photography but also about editing. I became a sponge learning everything I could. I still love learning new techniques and new ways of editing, now with a focus of pet photography. Don’t blink, however. You know I will be out there in nature photographing the little things in life whenever I get a chance!
