Adoption is an amazing thing. The people who give a part of their lives to help animals in need find their forever homes are also amazing. The kindness and devotion they show to the animals goes above and beyond. I had the opportunity to photograph the cats at the Sullivan County Humane Society in Claremont, NH, on December 3, 2022. I got to meet cats of all kinds and personalities. There were seniors. There were kittens. There were shy kitties and outgoing kitties. And there were cats that just wanted to be left alone. Some of them were already pending adoption. Others at the time that I was there were still waiting for their forever families to find them. Here are my favorite photos of the day.
